It’s Friday, and I’ve come across a brilliantly funny pair of Harry Potter flash animations. Not quite G rated, but generally work safe. You’ll need the sound turned on, though. (link, link)

The second animation has a hidden bonus feature which should not be missed. To view it, use the button at the lower left corner to pause when Snape gets zapped, and move step by step until you see the green star, which you can click to view the bonus animation.

Update 09-24-2005 21:52 PDT: People seem to be finding this post lately, looking for Potter Puppet Pals 3. There isn’t one yet, as far as I know. In the meantime, you may enjoy Snape’s rendition of I’m Too Sexy (Flash). The Potter Puppet Pals site is frequently out of bandwidth quota, but the content is mirrored here.
There’s also a do-it-yourself Potter Puppet Pals scene maker (in Flash) there, which lets you drag and drop the puppet parts onto the scene and put a text caption on it.

You’d need to actually build the animation in Flash, which is probably a larger project than you’re looking for.
In the meantime, you could try the scene builder mentioned in the post.

at my school, potter puppet pals is blocked, but when i found this website it actually let me play it! it is the funniest thing i’ve ever seen!!!

Thanks for the great links and pointing us to the PPP Scene Creator. We’ve only been able to do one single scene, though. Would you be so kind as to point us to directions for how to link multiple frames together to make an actual animation?

How do you do more than one scene on the scene maker? After we type in the captions, nothing happens. Well, the captions show up but we don’t know how to move from Hermione saying “Hello” to Harry and Ron repeating the greeting. In short, we only know how to do one caption. How do we do more than one caption/make an entire short? Thank you!

I love the scene maker! The only problem is you can only make one scence, which means it is kind of boring using the scene maker. Please contact me if there is a way to do more than one scence. PPP RULES!!!!

HERE’S ALL WHO WANTS THE MULTI-SCENE AND THE ANIMATION.
1) to get the multi-scene, head to the scene maker and do whatever you want. Click finish and press ‘Print Scrn’ (usually beside Scroll Lock). Head to Paint. Next, hold on to Ctrl and press V. The whole page will be there. Resize the image however you want to so that the work you did covers the entire picture. save it and go back to scene maker to make another scene and repeat the entire process.
2) to get the animation (here’s the hard part), buy Adobe Flash CS3 and search some pictures on it. adobe flash cs3 costs more than a hundred bucks. to get the animation you have to buy it.
3) if im wrong correct me.. otherwise, thats it for now.

The websiteis so crap even the new one does NOT work.
